A little craft for a Friday Feature- Everything Cupcakes!
Tuesday night I finally started my Cupcake apron that I have been wanting to make for some time!! I was very proud of myself, I started it a little after 7 and had it done by 9! Yes, I know that for some of you that is no problem but for me its big! Being a mom, full- time teacher, Cardio kickboxing instructor, and a wife I don't seem to have a lot of FREE time, however, crafting is one things I love!
My daughter and I are looking forward to making our Halloween cupcakes tonight & I will be wearing my cupcake apron!!

Thankful Thursday!
I'm so thankful for many things in life:
Two wonderful loving parents!
The simple joys in life, like driving a rice harvester and trying to beat the rain!
The loving bond that my daughter has with my parents!
Great friends who I can laugh with!
A loving, healthy family.
An AWESOME sister & auntie
A loving & supportive Husband!
The beautiful smiles that bless me each and every day from my little peanut!
Tomorrow is not promised so live today like there is nothing else! Live, Laugh, & Love!
I shared with you what I am thankful for, what are you thankful for?

My little Peanut is growing up!
I can't believe that my little peanut is already three; I don't know where the time has gone! This past Thursday she went on her very first field trip with her school, she was so excited. I'm not sure who was more excited her or I? They were headed to the pumpkin patch so of course we had to make sure that she was all decked out in her cute Halloween outfit! She had a great time going through the hay maze, riding ponies, going on a wagon ride, finding the perfect pumpkin, and playing with all her friends. I am so lucky to have such a sweet little girl, it just seems that time is going by too fast! Do any of you feel as if time goes by too quickly with your little one?

Hair Bow Organizer!
OK, so I have been wanting something cute and simple to organize Ava's hair bows and I finally found the answer. I am so sorry but I can't for the life of me remember which great blog I found this idea from but thank you for sharing!!
I went to the local craft store and purchased the wooden letter "A" and some ribbon. I started by painting the "A" white and added pale blue poke-a-dots. with my handy glue gun I glued the ribbon on to the back of the "A" and now I have a cute hair bow organizer!
Unfortunately, my daughter has so many hair bows that they don't all fit on here so we have to rotate them out. What do you think???

Happy Birthday!!
Today is a very special day in our house, its the hubby's birthday!! I am so thankful to have a such a wonderful, loving, hardworking husband! Unfortunately, since we are still not done with harvest the birthday party is going to have to wait. Yes, I had a very special dinner planned for tonight but I guess we will have to hold off for another day! The yummy Pumpkin Spice birthday cake is made the meat is marinating and the rest of the dinner is prepped! We were going to have a few people over to help us celebrate and then I received the phone call. The hubby called to inform me that he was going to have to work tonight so the big plans would have to wait!! Both Ava and I are a little sad that our plans are on hold, but his birthday will not be forgotten! We love you babe!! Thanks for being a wonderful hubby & a fabulous daddy!!

Princess Cookies
My daughter loves to help in the kitchen, yes at times it is help and other times I want to scream "help me"! I try to let her help as much as possible. After a long day of work all I wanted to do was sit for five minutes, however, I soon realized that was not going to be the case. Just as I plopped down and the couch Ava came running to me with a great big hug and asked, "mommy can we please make princess cookies?" With her adorable smile I couldn't say no. I pried myself from the couch and we begun making her version of "Princess Cookies". It seemed that once the two of us were in the kitchen together I found the energy to keep going through the evening. There is just something about the love and energy that I get from Ava that seems to make me believe I can do anything!! Thank Miss Princess for picking mommy up after a long day.
So are you wondering what princess cookies are????? They are absolutely delicious and you can make them yourself any time!
My little Baker!
Very focused on rolling the dough!
Very proud of her finished product!
The final batch of "Princess Cookies"!
There you have it, "Princess cookies are any cookies made by a princess, and must wear a crown proudly. This time our "Princess cookies" were double chocolate chip, of course there were a few chocolate chips missing since every princess gets hungry!

Shadow Box Family Tree
I thought it would be nice to have a little family tree in our house to teach our daughter how we all became a family. I didn't want any old boring flat paper surface family tree, so I thought a Shadow box would be great.
I found an 8x10 black Shadow box on sale at Michael's, it worked perfectly!
Next, my daughter and I went out to the orchard to gather the perfect sticks for our tree.
With my Martha Stewart leaf punch and light green scrap booking paper I begun punching out leaves for each family member. On each leaf I wrote a family members name.
Finally, with scrap booking sticky dots I placed the sticks in the formation of a tree and carefully arranged the leaves to create our family tree.
This was a very quick project that both my daughter and I enjoyed and a wonderful learning experience as well!
